Blooming Nine Patch
Fabric selection is part of this class. You will then learn how to cut, sew and organize your fabrics in order to achieve the final result. You will not complete this quit in class; time only permits a small portion of the blocks to be completed. You will leave with all the instructions you need to complete the quilt on your own. You will receive the book "Tradition With A Twist" as part of your class fee.

Supplies: Bring the following to class. You aree encouraged to purchase suppliess at Sew Biz with your class discount.
Fabric: Fabric selection is critical with this quilt. The premise of this quilt is that two colors "bloom" from the center of the quilt toward the edges. "Each fabric shares one or two colors of the preceding fabric to help the fabrics blend together and create a bloom." (from page 80). Fabric requirements are listedon page 80 of the book. There are infinite possibilities with this quilt! You may have a color scheme of two or three colors that repeat, or - you can start with one color and progress to a different color each time you change fabrics. Go to Pinterest and search "Blooming Nine Patch" for inspiration. This quilt finishes 72" x 82" without borders. If you wish to make the "bloom" larger, please see the instructor; however borders can always be added to achieve a certain size without adding to the "bloom".
