Quilt Camp 2024 with overnight stay
Quilt Camp at Selu,
Thursday August 8, 1:00 - Sunday August 11, 1:00.
Quilt camp is both a relaxing good time and an exciting event open to all levels of quilters, including beginners. The main project is a fun Mystery Quilt to stimulate your creative process . You may want to bring your own projects to work on, in addition or instead of the mystery.
Our setting is Selu Conservatory -380 beautiful acres of mountains, woods, trails along the New River. The main gathering room is The Barn, with ample room to set up your camp "studio" and to spread out as needed. The adjoining open porch at tree-top level is marvelous for meals and snack breaks. Sleeping accommodations are "camp-like" featuring bunk beds. Alternatively, campers may choose a near-by motel or local campers may want to commute from home. The workspace and the bunk rooms are air conditioned.
Join us for a getaway to leave your worries behind and enjoy fresh air, walk around the grounds, (maybe even hike to the river overlook), visit with fellow quilters, make new friends, learn new techniques and share hints and tips.
