The Essential Tote
The essential tote is about 12-3/4 high and19 1/4 inches deep. It's a great beginner project that is fully lined and has lots of inside pockets.
We will be using Waxed Canvas, a strong durable fabric with it's own personality.
Crystal strongly suggests you purchase your pattern and supplies ahead of class day. You can pre-cut your pieces and concentrate on construction in class.
Supplies:
Essentail Tote Pattern
fabric (waxed canvas),
1/3 yard for upper exterior
1/4 yard for lower exterior
1/2 yard waxed canvas for handles and interior pockets
1/2 yard quilting cotton for interior for snap closure version, 5/8 yard for inset zipper version
1/3 yard wide firm non-woven interfacing, (Decor Bond)
magnetic snap set OR an 18" zipper
usual sewing supplies
